Dog Rose - Paradise Row / Sunday Morning (Satril / 1972 UK)

Dog Rose is famous for its "All For The Love of City Lights" from Glitterbest.
Ofcourse, I knew this band on Glitterbest.
"All For The Love of City Lights" is great glam R&R song.
"Paradise Row / Sunday Morning" is their 1st single and this 7 inch is fuzz/psych/pop.
My favorite song is "Sunday Morning".This song is cool psych pop.
They released LP "All For The Love Of...", but I don't listen it yet.

このバンドはコンピ収録曲である"All For The Love of City Lights"で有名なバンドかと思います。"All For The Love of City Lights"はノリの良いグラムR&Rでしたが、この7インチはグラムというよりFuzz psych PopでB面の"Sunday Morning"がキャッチーな曲調でとにかくかっこいいです。
先日もBlogに書いたのですが、レコードプレーヤーと針をMCに変えた事によってこういったレコードの音が劇的に良くなりました。ネットにアップした音源では伝わりづらいのですが"Sunday Morning"のイントロのピアノは目の前で弾いてる様ですし、 間奏のギターも凄く良く鳴っています。
1972年に"All For The Love Of..."というアルバムをリリースしていますが未聴です。

This is unknown powerpop 7inch.
I think The Loose Change was influenced by Raspberries.
Vocalist looks like Eric Carmen.
I thought Loose Change is from Cleveland.
But member of The Loose Change is Phil Solem (pre - the Rembrandts and Great Buildings), so this is from LA.

Raspberriesスタイルな歌い上げるコクのあるボーカルとガッツあふれる演奏がかなりかっこいいです。年代、出身ともに詳細不明ですがクリーブランド周辺のバンドじゃないかな？なんて思ってましたがどうやらGreat BuildingsのギタリストであるPhil Solemのバンドです。なので正解はLAでした。 これはCyrus Erieなんかが評価されている今、今後どこかで評価されるレコードになるかもしれませんね。

I bought this 7 inch from member of The Tyrants about 2 month ago.
I was looking for this record about 15 years ago, so I was happy.
This 7 inch is most popular power pop in Japan.
I think this 7inch is king of power pop punk.
This is only 500 copies and sleeve is 5 colors(White, orange, red, blue, green).
There is famous story with power pop fan, actually Bret Starr on guitar is the son of late 60's American football legend Bart Starr.
I had The Tyrants news!!
The Tyrants will release unreleased material in this year on CD and LP.
Tyrants featured in a punk documentary film coming out in late 2016.
It is called "GREEN BLAH The History of Green Bay Punk Rock-Documentary".

このレコードはずっと欲しくてようやくGET出来ました。今までも買うチャンスは結構あったのですがパワーポップのレコードに大金を出せない！なんて昔は思ってていつの間にか手の出ないレア盤になっていたのです。AmbulanceやShivversなんかもそんな感じかな？
何度も何度も聴いた曲でしたが、実際に手に入れてレコードで聴くとホント涙が止まりませんでした。500枚プレスでスリーブは白、オレンジ、赤、ブルー、グリーンの5色。
Tyrants関連のNewsでは今年に未発表がリリースされるそうです。それと、"GREEN BLAH The History of Green Bay Punk Rock-Documentary"というドキュメンタリー映画にも少し出演するとか？楽しみですね。

This 7 inch is from Newport Beach, CA. This is punk sound but guitar player are playing well. A side"Remember Iran" is so good. There is sleeve such as a news paper. Doc Bart released split single with Katmandu from Ireland. Maybe it is 2nd single. I have never listened it, so I want to listen it.

スリーブに新聞の切り抜きみたいな風刺画付きのコピーも存在しています。曲名やそのコピーからも政治色の強いレコードかと思われますが、内容はなかなかかっこいいパンクロックで演奏もしっかりしています。

昨年にレコードプレーヤーを買い替えました。Victor QL-V1という機種ですでに終売商品で当時の価格は21万。いわゆるちょっと良いレコードプレーヤーをヤフオクで思い切って買いました。前はもらいモノのDJ用のターンテーブルを使っていたので見た目もオーディオ用のかっこいいのにしたかったんです。
そして、針もMCの定番と言われるDenon DL103に変えてみました。昇圧トランスというMCの針で聴く時に必要なものもヤフオクでゲット。
で、感想.....「今まで聴いてたのは何だったんだぁ〜。」と。特にメジャーレーベルから出たしっかりと録音されたレコードがびっくりするくらいの高音質。
KBDみたいなサウンドはあまり変わらないのですが、UKのメジャーリリースパンクやグラム期のシングルの音質はやはり最高／強烈です。

なので、最近はUKパンクのレコードを買ったりしております。

This is Iowa garage/Hard Rock 7inch by Renegade.
I thought this 7 inch recorded mid 70's when I listened this record.
Renegade was based out of Estherville, IA and they was active from 1981 -1983.
It was recorded in Dec. 1981 at Chicken House Music, near Otho, IA.
Actually, There is rare sleeve to this 7 inch.
I found this record with sleeve by E-bay, but it was so expensive.

Iowaのハードロックバンドの恐らく唯一作。
70年代の中頃の作品との話でしたが実際は81年のリリースらしいです。
内容はフランジャーの効いたハードR&Rが炸裂しており、パンクファンにもアピール出来る内容かと思います。レアなスリーブ付きも存在しますがあまり売ってませんね。

I was looking for this 7inch about 4years.
I listened this first time on PUREPOP blog.
I wanted to get "Copper Field - Johnny Is The Big One" but I got Copp'n'Roll LP first.
I thought Copp'n'Roll LP is great dutch pop, but my best track is "Johnny Is The Big One".
I got this 7 inch last year.
Powerpop fan have to get this 7 inch, because "Johnny Is The Big One" is pure power pop tune and this song has teenager play R&R.

このレコードですが、昨年か一昨年にようやく手に入れました。Copp'n'RollってLPを気に入って聴いてたのですがやっぱこのレコードのA面"Johnny Is The Big One"が素晴らしすぎますね。

Blog再開したいな....と思いながら子育てがあったりでなかなか時間が作れなかったのですが久々に部屋にこもってレコードを聴いているので再開してみました。
↓の音源はyoutubeに上げてますのでスマートフォンからも聴けるかと思います。
見た目は前のほうがかっこいいんだけど。
